iScanSQ is the first system to integrate the high-throughput capability of genotyping and gene expression microarrays with the flexibly and resolution of sequencing. With the addition of the SQ Module, the iScan system now offers a convenient and economical gateway to the power of next-generation sequencing. The SQ Module is an advanced fluidics device that can be combined with any new or existing iScan to enable Illumina's powerful sequencing-by-synthesis technology.

At the System's core is the iScan Reader, which incorporates high-performance lasers, optics, and detection systems. Even the highest density BeadChips can be scanned in just minutes.
The BeadXpress Reader is ideal for small and high-throughput labs conducting molecular testing studies that need robust, multiplexed-based assays. The Reader employs a dual-color laser detection system to identify the unique holographic code inscribed in each VeraCode microbead and to detect the signal intensity associated with each bead.
