MicroRNA assay

The Illumina MicroRNA Profiling Assay is an efficient, cost-effective system for microRNA expression profiling that combines a novel, highly multi-plexed expression assay, Universal Array Matrixes, and a fixed human or mouse panel containing the most current content. The assay uses a modified version of the unique DASL (cDNA-mediated Annealing, Selection, Extension, and Ligation) Assay method to measure microRNAs. Currently, Human and Mouse Fixed Panels for expression profiling, containing content derived from the Sanger database, are available. The standard Illumina Human microRNA Panel contains 743 sequences and the Mouse microRNA Panel contains 380 sequences.

Small RNA highlights

  • High throughput: 96 samples on a single Array Matrix
  • High reproducibility: Highest built-in feature redundancy of any currently available array platform
  • Low sample requirements: Just 100–200 ng total RNA
  • Consistent assay performance:
